Websters Bar is proud to host The Dewar’s Scotch Egg Club for the month of July.
Paying homage to the unique and truly delicious combination of whisky and the coveted Scotch Egg, we will have a unique cocktail list for the month, and also pairings of the Dewar’s range with three delicious Scotch Egg recipes from our Executive Chef, Mark Cukeric. The Pairings are listed below:
THE CLASSIC – Paired with Dewar’s 15
Black pudding , shredded apple and almonds s/w monarch spiked HP sauce
THE PORKY PIG – Paired with Dewar’s 12
Pork, fennel and lemon thyme s/w ancestor whisky roast tomato chutney
THE FUNKED UP MUSHROOM – Paired with Dewar’s 18
Truffled forest mushroom duxelle crumbed in parmesan and panko, s/w a vintage whisky tarragon aoli
For the beginners, adventurers and connoisseurs of whisky, there will also be masterclasses held in our Bourbon Bar & Cocktail Lounge (1st floor). Here, you will have the opportunity to try all the Dewar’s blends (12, 15 and 18 year olds) as well as the distinctive and award winning single malts that are used to create them. One of those single malts being Craigellachie – home of the Best Single Malt in the World 2017. Aside from this we will also have distinctive drams from Aultmore, Deveron, Aberfeldy and many more.
Tickets for the whisky masterclasses will be $35*, The first of which is this Thursday, 6th of July. Further sessions will be from 4:30pm Thursdays and Fridays for the whole month of July. The bar will then be open (free entry) after the Masterclasses conclude – to cater to all your egg and whisky needs.
