Websters Bar presents a very unique tasting event, featuring rare & limited Laphroaig Bottlings from the famous Islay Distillery.

We are honored to have the one & only Dan Woolley as our host for the evening, to share his passion, knowledge, and most importantly, some incredibly rare bottlings that he hand-selected whilst on a Laphroaig whisky escapade! Many of these expressions will never reach Australian shores, and some will never be seen again.

Dan has been involved with whisky for over 30 years, over which time he has been from Kentucky to Scotland, Canada to Tennessee, New York to Japan and just about everywhere you can think of that makes whisky. He has worked at many distilleries, trained thousands of bartenders and hosted hundreds of masterclasses and events. His current role is National Whisky Brand Ambassador at The Exchange.

Founded in 1815, Laphroaig is one of the most famous peated whiskys in the world and one of the very few distilleries left that has its own malting floors to produce a portion of its malted barley. Laphroaig itself is a brand known for its wonderful maritime sea spray, iodine, earthy flavours, and of course – rich plumes of peat smoke.

For those of you that are familiar with our regularly sold out Boilermaker & Whisky events, please be aware this event will be a little different; due to the rarity of the whiskys, the seating allocation will be extremely limited, and will be a smaller, more intimate tasting experience. Be sure you secure your tickets to ensure you don’t miss out!

Just to add to the exclusivity of this event, every attendee will receive their own 700ml bottle of Laphroaig Select, that we will be custom-labelling with your opinion of ‘What Laphroaig Means To You.’
