Following the success of our last Boilermaker event with Akasha & Bruichladdich, the Websters Team are excited to announce our next and FINAL whisky dinner for the year – A Boilermaker Dinner with Stockade Brew Co & Woodford Reserve. We would like to say a huge thank you to all who have joined us over the last year for any of our tasting events or dinners. Without you these evenings wouldn’t be possible!
Being that this will be our last dinner event for the year, we have put together something truly special for beer and whisky enthusiasts alike. Five Woodford whiskys & five Stockade beers will be paired with a three course dinner from our Awarded Executive Chef, Mark Cukeric.
Originally hailing from South West Sydney, Stockade Brew Co began life in October 2015. In their short existence thus far, the Stockade team have won in excess of 60 awards across the likes of the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBAs), the Craft Beer Awards (CBAs), the Sydney Royal Beer GABS People Choice 2017 and Cider Show and World Beer Awards (WBA’s) where they won the title of “World’s Best Imperial Stout”.
We will be fortunate on the night to try three limited edition brews, such as Rockafella Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Ale, The Mountie Maple Imperial Stout, and Old Money Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, which are generally brewed bi-monthly
One of Kentucky’s oldest and smallest distilleries, the present day Woodford Reserve Distillery is built on history, sitting on Kentucky’s oldest distilling site where Elijah Pepper began crafting whiskey in 1812. At the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Woodford Reserve’s best performances have been in 2005 and 2013, winning a double gold medal each time. It has also won gold (2006–2007, 2011-2012) and silver (2008, 2010) medals at this annual event.
The last two Woodford pairings for the evening will both be very rare and limited releases, one the Masters Collection Cherry Wood Smoked Barley Edition, and our very own 2017 Websters Personal Selection, a whisky we handpicked with Master Distiller Chris Morris in Kentucky. This Personal Selection is now in extremely limited supply, so don’t miss the opportunity to try it paired with Stockade’s Old Money Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
