The Websters Team are gearing up for a very special toast to both craft beer from our esteemed neighbours in Camperdown, Wayward Brewing Company & truly iconic American Whiskys from Michter’s Distillery in Kentucky, US.

We will be tasting 5 beers from Wayward & 5 whiskys from Michter’s (the first pairing will be a surprise beer cocktail!).
As always our awarded Executive Chef, Mark Cukeric will be pairing a 3 course dinner incorporating both the beer and whisky into the cooking process. Please read on below for the menu.

Throughout the evening, we will be taken on a guided tour through Michter’s distillation process with Shayne Silver, from Vanguard Spirits, and have a brief history on how the brand got to where it is globally, then on to Wayward, where Jackson Davey will be giving us an introduction to the craft beer brand that has quickly become a household name across Australia.

We are also very excited to announce we will be hosting our second BEER PONG Tournament after the dinner! For anyone who lost at our 4th of July Boilermaker event, this is your chance for REVENGE! For anyone who loves a laugh in a competitive environment – Join us and see if you have what it takes to come out on top!

The Food and Drink Pairings:

On Arrival:
A surprise beer cocktail featuring Michter’s American Whisky & Camperdown Pale Ale

Oatis India Pale Ale and Michter’s Rye

Crispy Fried Fish Slider
Lemon and dill panko crumbed Hake fillet, Michter’s Rye pickled cucumbers, American cheese, baby gem lettuce and jalapeño tartar sauce in a warm milk bun

Charmer Red Ale and Sour Mash

Pork Belly Steamed Bun
Michter’s Sour Mash and Charmer Red Ale infused roasted belly, wok fried bok-choy and Hoisin mayo in a steamed bun

Midnight Barley Cowboy and Michter’s Bourbon

Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder
Served with garlic roasted chat potatoes, sticky Midnight Barley Cowboy braised carrots, smokey eggplant purée green olive tapenade, fried capers and finished with a Michter’s Bourbon jus

To Finish:
Michter’s Toasted Barrel Strength Rye paired with Saint Basil’s Imperial Stout.
